Reading this feels so wrong because of this “heavy sword” knowing that in Irl weights of weapons are important whether traveling or in combat it was always been light and easily wieldable. It’s like knowing a fact and seeing something blatantly wrong.
I am genuinely surprised that no one has reviewed this manga, as it's truly an oldie but a goodie.
First off, let me say that this is one of those mangas that punches way above its weight. It could have easily succumbed to typical clichés and stereotypes, with an overload of fan service that might have been its downfall, but it doesn't. Instead, it maintains a great sense of humor and freshness, paired with a creative script that will keep you hooked and entertained. There are plenty of action-packed moments (flying fists) as well as heartwarming scenes that make you go "awww."
So yes, this is definitely a manga you should check out.
I believe there is an anime adaptation, which I haven't seen yet. Additionally, I think there might be a sequel as well.
