Overall it's an amazing story set in ancient china involving elements of romance, comedy and mysteries related to world setting. I don't think you would regret trying this atleast.Till ch 72 , there is no harem and no indication of any possible such development in future so yeah there is a good chance it remains a pure romance with strong and possessive nature of female lead 😁
There are a few chapters that you have to re read to grasp what is going on and sometimes it is difficult to understand who said what but this is definitely worth a read, I am loving this book.The protagonist himself is quite fascinating biologically, and more often than not seems to take the path of least resistance, and his system isn't over powered but is very relevant. And the world he resides in both scares the stuffing out of me and sets my heart aflutter whith all the monsters and ancient cultureal and mythological references. And also people(s) in this story? They are realistically barbaric and suck as people and monsters do, and I am pulled in by it all.
