His heart—frozen for years—finally begins to crack.
Later, Lu Si, who was supposed to remain disabled for life, stands up again. Not only does his military career soar, but he also spoils that delicate little wife to the heavens.
Su Ci:
“Weren’t we supposed to only talk about money and not feelings?”
Lu Si, eyes reddened, corners her against the wall:
“The allowance is yours. My life is yours too. Just don’t leave.”
