“What happened today is a secret between us, okay?”

Nakayama Haruto is a gaming commentator known for his toxicity as the streamer ‘Oni-chan’. After finishing his usual streaming session, Haruto accidentally forgot to end the stream. As a result, his secret life as a streamer working to support his younger sister’s education and living expenses is exposed. Furthermore, it’s also revealed that he meticulously prepares scripts to provoke others, all while being, in reality, a genuinely nice person!

To make matters more complicated, during a livestream by the popular VTuber and professional gamer, Ayaya (aka Shirayuki Aya), Haruto unintentionally reveals his true personality once again. Unexpectedly, this led to them growing closer to each other as they continued to play games and go on outings together.

Thus begins a one-on-one romantic comedy between the business-minded toxic streamer and the popular VTuber heroine!

Indeed, it's charming and新颖, despite incorporating a few familiar elements. The concept of two digital personas crossing paths in real life adds an amusing twist, as it's not a common narrative device. Personally, I find it refreshing, with no major criticisms at the moment. However, the author's storytelling skills will definitely influence my perception in the future. Thanks to both the author and the translator for bringing this story to our reading enjoyment!

I've read up to Chapter 35 of the web novel, which I believe corresponds to Volume 2, Chapters 2-3, should it ever be released. Initially, I found the first few chapters quite enjoyable, but my excitement waned after that.

The first three-quarters of Volume 1 were indeed captivating, especially as it resolved character misconceptions about their online personas. However, the storyline seems to lose momentum after that point, gradually turning into a generic romantic comedy. Although the current tags don't specify, I expect it to involve a harem with at least three additional characters – which, while not inherently problematic, can dilute the focus on the most intriguing relationship.

In terms of characters, the male lead is intriguing, and the female lead isn't too bad either. But the sister – well, I'm a fan of younger sister tropes, but hers feels rather one-dimensional and lacks distinctiveness compared to others in the genre.

As for the supporting cast and future additions, I hope the author will develop them more later on, but currently, they lack depth and appeal.
