Initial update after 40 chapters: I'm unsure of how this narrative will progress, but for now, it stands as a compelling web novel值得一读。 The story revolves around Violet, a protagonist or "villainess," who contemplates ending her life through drowning due to overwhelming despair. However, she gains access to her past life's memories, which serve as a harsh awakening. Through Violet's eyes, we witness the depth of her missteps, both towards others and herself.

The heartbreak resonates not because the main character explicitly expresses sadness, but rather because we can empathize with her emotional turmoil. We see her heartbreak unfold and continue to crumble, even though the overall tone isn't overly melancholic or anguished. Although it might seem like the entire world is against her at times, it's primarily her own internal struggle that becomes the most devastating torment.

This book is particularly suited for:

    - Readers seeking an angsty or emotionally intense experience, especially those who can relate to characters dealing with depression.

However, it might not be for everyone else:

    - The story starts off promising a revenge narrative, but instead delivers heavy depression and narcissistic themes, which some may find unappealing.

The protagonist's constant self-pity and portrayal of her difficult life can feel repetitive and one-dimensional. The brothers' abusive behavior and lack of genuine remorse come across as shallow.

Despite the well-written depiction of pain, other aspects of the story fall short. The plot becomes monotonous once it hits a repetitive groove, and while the author attempts to introduce an intriguing love interest (ML), it fails to revitalize the story for me.

My overall rating is 2/5, with a slight bump to 3 points due to the author's skill with evoking emotions. Personal preferences play a role, so if you're interested, go ahead and give it a try, but this review reflects my perspective.

The series started strong, but unfortunately, the quality seemed to decline as it progressed, leaving me with a bittersweet feeling 💔 Despite that, the exploration of family dynamics, especially the portrayal of pain, trauma, and healing, was absolutely captivating – that's something I adored无比。 However, the villains felt one-dimensional 🙁 They lacked depth and competence, relying on overly obvious plot devices to make them seem foolish. The author tried to address the typical "good vs. evil" cliche by acknowledging the MC's flawed past, but it didn't have much impact on the story beyond making her relatable. It's disappointing because the MC's character development is so intricate – she's conflicted, hurting, yet yearning for connection.

I would give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars, purely based on the精彩的beginnings. I highly recommend you read it, even if you choose to disregard my critique, as those initial arcs were truly exceptional.

So far, I'm really enjoying this book, and I appreciate that it doesn't carry a "tragedy" label or fall under that genre. Had it done so, it would have been an intense emotional roller coaster, leaving me feeling emotionally unstable. What I particularly love is how the protagonist, FL, isn't fixated on seeking revenge or altering the narrative; instead, she focuses on her own self-healing journey, which resonates with me.

I must admit, this novel really tugged at my emotions, even though there are still chapters missing. I've always been drawn to stories where the main character doesn't undergo an extreme transformation solely due to reincarnation or some other factor. It's important to me that they remain true to themselves, especially when their actions stem from past traumas. I crave a protagonist who isn't apologetic for their past wrongs and isn't eager to reconcile with those who mistreated them.

FL is a deeply tragic figure, someone who feels isolated and alone. She yearns for peace in her melancholic existence, far removed from her dysfunctional family. Despite her genuine love for them, she faces constant hatred from her brothers and a father who failed to support her. As a result, she chooses to live a solitary life.

This is exceptional. Continue reading, and everything will fall into place beautifully. The protagonist possesses a strength of her own, though not through outward energy; her emotional depth is profound. It's a commendable exploration of how adults' failures can impact children. Villains aren't always born, they're often shaped by circumstances. This narrative is delightful, and the translation is exceptional. Give it a chance – I assure you, you won't regret it, as I didn't.

This narrative is not intended for readers seeking a tale of FL seeking vengeance, excessive contrition from every character, or an emotionally distant FL. Instead, it revolves around FL's journey to heal and find her way forward, despite feeling like an outsider due to her past memories. The novel stands out for its authentic portrayal of real-life emotions, avoiding common tropes of manipulation or indifference. It's a deserving read that deserves more recognition for its relatable and nuanced storytelling.

Translation: "10/10 for the translation, but the story score is 6/10. The start was promising, but it lost its momentum once the main character arrived in the capital. Some chapters felt unnecessary, like filler content. The lighthearted banter between siblings, intended for humor, felt forced. The only genuinely amusing part was the author's persistent claim that corsets are torture devices, despite them being just undergarments, which elicited a smile 😄."

From around the 1880s, the narrative takes a turn, spinning with feminist themes about marriage markets, corsets, and the rarity of women obtaining positions, despite the author's assertion that it's a fantasy where equality prevails. The villain's stories have become overly focused on their spoiled nature. As an admirer of villains, I seek the dark and sinister aspect, not just a one-dimensional portrayal of an independent woman without substance or demonstrated strength and autonomy in the plot.

I truly appreciate the captivating start. Currently, I'm on Chapter 4 and thoroughly enjoying it. What sets this apart is its refreshing take on a different narrative; it's not about surviving against an inevitable fate or rescuing a beloved character. Instead, the protagonist focuses on living her own life without getting entangled in others'. Despite being a reincarnated soul, she doesn't dwell on the original story, maintaining a detached perspective.

The story seems to delve deeply into the protagonist's emotional journey, as she works through past traumas. It's a rollercoaster of emotions, with the main character existing as a blend of her former self and the new persona she has forged. Her relationships, particularly with her father, are complex – he doesn't hold any ill will towards her, but his apathy contributes to her struggles. Her siblings present varying degrees of potential for growth, with one seemingly lost and the others offering opportunities for character development.

The storyline of this novel begins to lose its momentum after around Chapter 100. I've decided to put it on hold for now, but I might revisit it at a later time. The main character's objectives seem to become模糊 after a certain point, and she continually faces mistreatment from her family. However, after some time, her reactions to their behavior seem to dwindle, as she mostly accepts their shortcomings without actively trying to win them over.
