World Seed

Kolan Mist is a 26 year old overweight man who'd much rather be a cave troll, locked in his room with his computer than out and about mixing with the rest of humanity. Sadly life, and his mothers new fiance, have forced him to abandon his life of relative indulgence and has forced him to get a job.

The one place he'd managed to get work at is a hellhole of a store franchise known as Minut Mart, where he works as a cashier for little more than minimal wage. He has managed to move out on his own however, and daydreams of burning down the cursed place after handing in his two week notice.

But things take a weird turn when a mysterious blue box and a message pops up in front of every person on the planet, talking about something called the World Seed. Then the world is literally turned on its head as the new overlords of the Earth, called the Collectors, started tinkering with the world for their own amusement.

Monsters, aliens, mutants and zombies suddenly appear and attack the still confused human race. The destruction is epic. But the powers and abilities gained by the survivors are even more so.

How will Kolan Mist survive in a world that seems to come straight out of a great many of his favorite stories? Just what will he do on the search for the World Seed? And what secrets will he uncover about the multiverse beyond human imagination?

Even he isn't sure... especially if he cannot survive in this new world!

NOTE: This is my third story here, and while I think I may find some great inspiration in writing it, my real life circumstances make that unlikely for the near future. Chapters will be posted as I get them written however, along with my other two works: Master of Dungeons and Universe Online.
