"I need to return to my own pack, so it would be best if we ended our mating bond," I state, watching his shocked expression. "What? Can you repeat that?" He appears stunned, awaiting a different response. "So, that's why you've been so insistent on talking to me – you want to sever this connection, isn't it?" He moves closer, hovering above me. "Yes, I wish to depart from this pack and from you," I attempt to meet his gaze, hoping to convince him of my sincerity. "In your dreams. I'll never abandon you," he replies, then walks away. "Logan, I will leave this pack, bonded or not. You should consider the consequences of your actions," I say, anger seeping into my voice. "Do you really want me with another, even if it means causing pain? As long as I live, you won't have your way."
