"Kathrina, we should eliminate her. I can sense a wolf connection," said Alpha Frederick softly, ensuring the others wouldn't overhear. "What are you even suggesting? No! She's still our child, Fred. Our own child!" protested Mother, standing protectively in front of me. Alpha Frederick tightened his grip, his claws digging into her arm as he snarled, "This cycle never ends, Kathrina." He pulled his mate closer, his gaze fixed on me as he continued, "Alright, if it's come to this, we'll do it now and address her mate later." He prepared to strike, and I braced myself, raising my arms to defend. Suddenly, a warm embrace enveloped me, lifting me off the ground and onto a branch. "Why not take care of me first?" A deep, resonant voice echoed through the woods, sending shivers down my spine. The scent of him was intoxicating, making my heart race. In that moment, I knew I belonged to him. "MATE!" Kath's joyful bark filled my mind. "MATE," I whispered, meeting his captivating eyes, and I couldn't help but gasp at their beauty.
