Amid the chaos and fear, the world's nations crumbled. Traditional armies and military might prove futile in maintaining peace. Human warfare became a distant memory, and humanity's existence hung in the balance. It was during these dire times the first group of "Kindled" appeared with their magical powers, offering a glimmer of hope for humanity as they banded together to confront the changing world.
Many decades have passed since then. Kai is a boy trying to navigate this new twisted world, living by his mother's last words. Finding himself in all sorts of odd and macabre places, he is pushed into situations out of his control.
What kind of mysteries will Kai unearth? What will he do when the world changes again? And just what is that enigmatic tower in the distance?
