Marissa Dela Cruz's life had been shaped by a single, cherished relationship - her doting grandmother. At a tender age, tragedy struck when her father disappeared before she was even born, and her mother tragically passed away during childbirth. As a result of her parents' absence and her grandmother's advancing years, Marissa had grown into a resilient young woman, developing an independent spirit and a strong character. Her unwavering dedication and professional prowess, evident in her exceptional work ethic and composed demeanor, earned her the esteemed position as the secretary to Diego Montero, a highly respected and accomplished Chief Executive Director. Initially, her role alongside the CEO posed numerous challenges, but Marissa persevered and adapted over time. However, one fateful day, her usually stern and detached boss, Mr. Montero, approached her with a request that took her breath away. He asked her if it were possible for her to become a parent to him, a question so unexpected that it left her momentarily stunned.

i read this one for the mind game and 4d chess battle in displayed by the use of wits of pretty much every single characters. basically, the romance is just a bonus at this point since every interactions of wits have been very intricated and interesting, no less than your usual fighting scene in an action novel.0 0 Reply

Did anyone read the manhwa version of this? Heard it was bad but I only read the novel so I don't have an opinion.0 0 Reply

She had been so gung-ho about it earlier, but the more she thought about it – well, the more weird she felt about the situation.0 0 Reply
