Scarlett Anderson, a loyal daughter, agrees to marry Evans Foss, the leader of the Foss pack, as a strategic move to safeguard her family from the unknown force behind the Andersons' deaths. However, their union takes an unexpected turn. After marriage, secrets unravel, revealing that Evans doesn't live up to his role as a protector. Tragedy strikes when Scarlett's father is tragically killed, followed by the mysterious death of their butler, leaving Scarlett vulnerable. Enter Bryan Haaland, a vengeful man with a personal vendetta. The Foss and Anderson packs had long ago destroyed the Haaland pack, reducing Bryan to the sole survivor. Determined for payback, Bryan watches as Scarlett, under false protection, is poisoned and buried. This heart-wrenching scene forces Bryan to confront a moral dilemma: to let her die or intervene. Out of compassion, he chooses to save her, only to discover that she's not just the daughter of his enemy but someone he once vowed to love and protect. Scarlett, seeking justice, believes Bryan is her key to retribution. Caught between old promises and new loyalties, Bryan must decide whether to honor his past commitment to Scarlett or hold onto his anger and seek revenge for his pack's destruction. Will Bryan help Scarlett seek vengeance, or will he succumb to the bitterness and make those responsible for his family's loss suffer?

I could not help but be a bit disappointed by this novel. It felt so good at first, but I could not help but notice that he feels like a complete noob at times, when he was supposed to be a pro who survived until the end. I also could not help but notice that in the first chapter, it was mentioned that he could rememeber anything if he just focused on it. I could not help but notice that he seemed oblivious to things that he should rememeber, or atleast have an idea of. An example being when he retrieved the pain relief pills through the menu. He was shocked they materialized infront of him, when after literal years of gameplay, he should have known that would happen for NPC’s.I could not help but notice that the technology tree seems highly limiting.0 0 Reply

I read ahead on the raws, and I have some unhappy news for everyone: the author is a foot fetishist. I'll die a happy man if I never have to read about someone's "fragrant jade feet" ever again.0 0 Reply

The story started well shaping up to be real antihero tale. But. Then he desided to change and. Be a. Hero for no real reason someone that good at. Killing and that driven would not change. There emo that easily. Or that fast making the story go downhill fast all in all. Started good showed real. Promise then went to sh. It0 0 Reply
