The young boy Elijah was raised to be a soldier at the age of 6 this was not a common thing in the world, but it was certainly not rare anymore especially since the third World War had started. By the age of 16 the War had finally ended this does not mean that everything was suddenly peaceful, but the majority of large military forces where being withdrawn back to there individual countries.
While the large military forces were withdrawn Elijah was a mercenary who would be contracted out to whoever was willing to pay the most for his services, even though the War had officially there were still a few jobs that needed to be completed, and since the War had ended nations would secretly hire mercenaries to take care of some loose ends, and so Elijah was contracted out.
After completeing his mission, and waiting for extraction Elijah was suddenly transported to a different world with only a note from God left behind.
