In the tumultuous world of Kyyrin, where draconic deities engage in a lethal dance of death and rebirth, driven by the fickle nature of worship, stands Yuuna, the cunning draconic demon goddess. Trapped within an ancient cycle, these gods are continually reborn and die, stripped of their memories, destined for transient existences. Yet, Yuuna holds a dark secret—her heart is the key to breaking this endless cycle. Desperate for salvation, the divine beings unite with a malevolent intent: to kill Yuuna and claim her heart.
Enter Xyenn, a 19-year-old harboring nothing but disdain for gods and a burning desire for vengeance. Yuuna, ever the strategist, binds this unlikely hero to her cause, sharing her formidable powers with him through a binding contract. Together, they plunge into a whirlwind of divine intrigues and battles. But amidst the chaos and conflict, could an unexpected bond, perhaps even love, begin to form? Or does their alliance merely foreshadow more destruction and sorrow in this forsaken world? Only time will reveal the outcome in this high-stakes game of gods and hearts.

it usually autocorrects his words, but other than that I will give a review on every aspect of the story overall. I’m gonna try and avoid spoilers.
Plot/story: 4.7/5. The title of this novel may make people think this is some generic romance novel between a human and a goddess, but it’s much more than that. This series is HEAVILY inspired by Berserk, there are very dark moments but they fit in with the world itself. The plot itself is intriguing, as there’s twists and turns and shock value that actually fits the situation and isn’t there just for being dark and edgy. The storytelling and the plot progression grows as the main character learns more and more about everything, and we learn along with him, making everything feel real and feeling immersed. Overall, the plot is interesting as our main character is battling gods and demons with many mysterious beings in the mix. I’ve binged this because of the story, it makes you WANT to see how this ends.
Characters: By far the best thing about this novel is the characters. 50 plus chapters and the characters are fleshed out and they have their own struggles, that are actually relatable, none of that generic “I wanna be stronger to protect my friends and family” crap. Each arc and almost every chapter characters are growing, helping each other, and trying to conquer their own struggles, and they learn from each encounter. But my personal favorite characters are Xyenn (Our MC) and Yuuna (The main Heroine). Their relationship is well developed, Yuuna is enjoyable and gives me power from chainsaw man vibes, and she even has her own character development and things she’s trying to conquer on her own within herself, like a Xyenn. I’d say Xyenn has the most fleshed out and in depth character throughout the entire series so far. At times I can relate to his struggles, and how he openly admits to being a failure but he constantly reminds himself that his losses and fear and anxiety makes him who he is, and in order to grow, he has to accept defeat. And he’s funny at times and though he can be reckless as hell, he’s a 10/10 character in my opinion. Character interactions are amazing, funny moments and bonding between them, and the side characters are well developed, though I’d say some don’t get enough development like others, I’m sure the author will develop them greatly as well, but it doesn’t detract from my enjoyment of the story overall.
World Building: So far in 50 chapters, there has been a few continents that are unique with unique types of people and creatures and situations, making each place feel unique and alive, the way the author details the atmosphere and scenes and sights and smells, it pulls you in. And it was mentioned that it would take 80 years for someone to travel the entire world in this story, so I know there’s more to be revealed.
Arcs: I love the arcs, but there are times where the the arcs merge, making it seem like a lots going on at once, but it’s not confusing as it usually all connects in the end. My personal favorite arc is the Soulcaris arc (just saying, I won’t spoil anything)
Overall: I enjoy this and highly recommend you to read this as well. It has very dark moments and there is some sexual content and gory scenes, but they fit with the theme and story, it’s not just there for shock value without purpose.
