What bothered me the most before it was the amount of useless words. There would be full chapters where simply nothing happened and it was full of infodump where you could skip and still not miss anything. You could easily cut down those 1k chapters to 100, no joke. As I said, though, for whatever reason the author changes the writing style later on, so it kinda saves the novel from being garbage
