I looked at webnovel.com (likely source of this story) and they labeled this as complete at chapter 337... I think it was either dropped or not going to be translated further. :(
Really, to be honest I personally liked this a lot and although it seems like the mc is just going through the motions with romance, cultivation, and his outlook on life as an observer. I feel that it will grow on you if you read further and you will not regret it.
