Being a detective isn't a easy job. Add the fact that you watched your wife and only son commit suicide. But you still have a job to do, and Detective Alex T. Paek is no exception.
Investigating series of brutal murder/suicides and disappearances, Detective Paek quickly finds out what's happening. A family member goes missing for couple of months, sometimes years. And then they suddenly come back, but different, changed, and the horrors soon follow. The only things missing are how and why?
Detective Paek investigate eventually leads him to a small, but friendly island village off the coast of Japan called Akuhara. It's there that he discovers that he's dealing with something bigger then he could ever imagine.
Time is ticking, and when the clock strikes midnight, the nightmares well begin.
