Twelve years ago mankind was almost wiped from existance by a mysterious entity, with only a tenth of the population left alive. These survivors then found themselves scattered across the face of a new world, where they integrated themselves into the strange technology of a long dead civilization which they came to call Forerunners.
This story revolves around our young protagonist Noah who makes his way to the grand city Alar, where a dungeon called The Abyss is heavily utilized for its resources. Noah's sole wish is very simple: it's to be happy. But his mind knows nothing but survival so he doesn't know what it means to be happy. In his search for this understanding he crawls through the dark underbelly Alar, claws his way through all obstacles before him, unknowingly changes the lives of everyone around him and discovers the dangerous forgotten history of the lands.
But there seems to be more to Noah's agenda than just a fulfilling life.
