The only thing I could say is, the narration is like a bolt of lightning. Way too fast and direct, more like an essay rather than a story. In my case, I could barely feel the atmosphere. The situation is throwing you here and there. Less emotions, not that engaging. Maybe, I've been fed up by typical Chinese writing, but this novel's writinh is way too bland.There are plot holes too, but it is common in this genre but the method of narration is really..
Everything goes according to plan all the time. Nothing changes, no butterfly effect.
There’s this one battle early on where it happens a year early ok? But the battle itself is still the same, he even predicts some guy tripping, in a different time and place from the original battle.
Sh*t is crazy, the world twists and bends itself for the main character.
And the main character doesn’t use his experience as a soldier, he goes like:
-Some guy in the future invented a perfect solution to my current problem, I can use that.
-Some guy in the future had a perfect formation, I can copy that.
What I’m getting at is that it’s clearly a wish fulfillment fantasy, and a badly written one at that.
