"Tai's the one that wanted to keep that damn house. All because of you. Ozpin let him keep it when we broke down camp. Everyone else was glad to be gone, but he insisted on staying."
Upon one occasion he entered the house; and, inquiring for Charlotte, he observed that the inmates were in a state of unusual confusion. The eldest boy informed him that a dreadful misfortune had occurred at Walheim, -- that a peasant had been murdered! But this made little impression upon him. Entering the apartment, he found Charlotte engaged reasoning with her father, who, in spite of his infirmity, insisted on going to the scene of the crime, in order to institute an inquiry. The criminal was unknown; the victim had been found dead at his own door that morning. Suspicions were excited: the murdered man had been in the service of a widow, and the person who had previously filled the situation had been dismissed from her employment.
At start, the author was giving a lot of details, which is not bad, the prologue was also good, what is the being that the gods have to fight? Its a really interesting premise, the best part is character design, over all it is a great story with consistent updates, if the author's writing quality remains the same, and he does not drop it, then it is destined to get popular. (pls end the hiatus quickly)
The intro got me hooked up even though I've not really read the story fully . I can't wait to dive in . It's such a good piece for calming the mind . I love it .
This is slightly better than garbage. You think its a good story because it actually is.And then it unfolds its true colors. Another generic story with forced plots and a world setting all centered for the sole purpose of introducing new girls and attaching them to the protagonist. The protagonist who doesn't lose in a fight. Who has the drive to survive. And the protagonist who becomes a spineless pushover who can't say no to a girl because of forced plot reasons. His maid, his fiance, even the so called cold blooded princess who forces him to be her consort, ruining his life due to plot reasons and other things. Yet he does nothing. You think the plot is good but it all boils down in the end to the protagonist, who was a 5 star with his confidence and intelligence, walking into a bear cave (metaphorically) for one reason or another and once the bear is a woman, he becomes completely idiotic and turns into a 1 star. And not in the sense that he is flustered by women, but in the sense of the author forcing the story that way just to mame drama. The whole world setting, politics, demons, and all conflicts are in meaningless because they are all there just to collect more women to showcase them.Romance barely exists as the protagonist has the EQ of a stone and its so obvious how the author just turns him to an unaware idiot just to keep his forced "girl has feeling for him plot nb.29" from falling appart. Its infuriating to the least because I thought it was a good story with tense action and drama as the protagonist is established to have a forced weak state from the start and a death timer, forcing him to keep going forward... but then its all meaningless the moment you realize its all a hoax just to add and collect girls, not for the protagonist to have any romance for, but to just make it another generic harem garbage.A story written not for the sake of the story, its world and its characters, but for the sake of being another junk food platter. Its soggy fries at most.3.5/10
