Irobu's Odyssey of Deceit

Irobu Vikria led a model life; she dutifully worked in the mines and devoutly worshipped her patron deity Hekal—that is, until a cave-in unleashed the spirit of the ancient King Thrun. A victim of circumstance, adolescent Irobu is possessed by the archaic regent, which results in the unlikely pair sharing body and mind. In order to escape the cave-in, Thrun tricks Irobu into casting spells—a dangerous and sacrilegious act in a land where magic is extremely erratic. Irobu's life continues to unravel as Thrun commits further heresy while she is sleeping. Determined to banish the uninvited guest, Irobu flees her homeland to join the one group that might be up for the challenge. To complete her quest, Irobu must embrace her nascent magical talent while trying to win over her newfound allies. Her faith, compassion, and, above all, patience, are tested throughout her continent wide odyssey.
