I'm sure that's what usually would be the case, but not with Dante. Dante doesn't care to be a hero, nor does he care to be a villain. Dante just wants to forge his own path in this new world of adventure. He wont be a hero, but he wont be a villain either, he will just do what he wants and other people's opinions be damned.
