I love good Lovecraftian stuff, but looking at the tags (mainly the system one) kinda makes me leery of it. Systems are all about empowerment of the MC, but that is entirely antithetical to cosmic horror in the first place.
I mean to begin with, in cosmic horror, you can only either get the bad end, or manage to delay the coming of the bad end for a few hundred years. You can't kill Cthulhu or Nyarlathotep, only stop the cultists from summoning them or temporarily prevent them from fully manifesting their avatar.
I think it’s a good story, a bit slow, the father doesn’t exactly hate his newborn daughter. It’s more like he doesn’t understand how to take care of them. It’s very sweet.
