The world is controlled by the 7 major esper families. Their unique abilities allow them to order the world around as they please. Bullying and killing those weaker than them is a common occurence.
And yet, everything begins to change with the release of new world. There is a mystical property to new world -- It is able to make esper abilities stronger.
The weak espers who have been bullied and discriminated against finally have a chance to supplant the 7 families. Using new world, they seek to improve their esper abilities so that they may stand above all others.
Jack Wilheim carries with him a sorrowful past. He has been avoiding new world since its release, but it finally finds its way to him. Starting 3 months late, he enters the game.
