Maximillian Silver, known as Max to his friends, has lived a pretty crappy life. He lost his legs in an accident and for the last few years had been living in hospital due to his injuries and the fact that he has a friend that nobody else can see talking to him all the time.
That is until the hospital gives him the option to take part in a virtual reality rehabilitation program by playing the virtual reality RPG 'Glorious Morning'. Forced by friends to take part in the treatment and wanting to feel the ground under his feet once again Max joins the game.
