After experiencing a string of betrayals, heartaches, and going through a divorce, Bianca encountered Dr. Gideon Van Cleef, who showered her with love and support, including revamping her art gallery. Life seemed to have turned around for her. However, tragedy struck just before their big day when, in a moment of unconsciousness, Bianca found herself in bed with a stranger, unaware that he was none other than her soon-to-be husband's brother, Charles. The revelation came as a shock on her wedding night. As fate would have it, Charles was involved in an accident and needed to recuperate at their home. This unexpected turn of events left Bianca grappling with a heavy burden of guilt – should she disclose the truth to Gideon about her past encounter with his brother? The dynamics within the Van Cleef household were now fraught with tension, raising questions about how Bianca could navigate her feelings of guilt and the potential for further emotional entanglements amidst the complexities of their situation.

There are 5 year olds with more "EQ" than this guy, one second he is saying smart things, the next he's a m*r*n. It's bizarre, it's a shame as the rest of the novel is good besides the unlikeable MC. Even when he is 20+, is doesn't get better.
I think an even greater offender is how much effort the author puts in to try and blend plot armor in 'naturally'; he will provide robust explanations and cover every angle to make it reasonable as to why the MC is safe or will be safe if he does X, Y, Z but all it does is kill narrative tension and come across as too convenient; the universe perfectly aligns so the MC experience no setbacks.
He constantly shows off and garners attention while apparently wanting to keep a low profile but never suffers any losses which further exacerbates the lack of character development. So weird when I want something bad to happen to the MC so he can grow up.
