I’m over 500 chapters in (just above 50% of the total story), and honestly, the story’s about a 4/10 if I’m being generous.The first 10% of the novel was about a 6/10. It was alright but very trope-y and melodramatic and kinda creepy cause there were multiple descriptions about the sexual attractiveness of a certain animal’s animal features so the rating dropped accordingly.Then for around the 20%-30% range it dropped to a 3/10 and then to a 2/10 cause the MC kept taking back to back to back to back brainless Ls while the author kept throwing in stupid overwhelming plot situations the MC survives out of pure bullshit. Honestly would not fault anyone for abandoning the story anytime around here (I definitely almost did multiple times).Around the 40% mark is when the novel was a 7/10 and the novel felt like many of its contemporaries (aka an average novel experience). Nothing special but nothing particularly bad (other than the controlled-stronger-stranger-female-forced-to-rape-MC-and-they-become-close-because-of-it trope shit that happens in these types of novels).And now at the 50% mark the novel is a 3/10 cause the author is throwing in braindead tropes that are completely unnecessary and is making me think of abandoning the novel again.Specifically, some internal-talent ranking machine ranks his harem members highly while ranking the MC as having unknown/0 talent (real original) even though he’s clearly fucking exceptional to have made it this far this young but noooo because some dumbshit machine can’t properly quantify him now everyone treats MC like a wastrel cause everyone in this novel is fucking braindead including the author and the people who enjoy this shit. Keep in mind this is halfway through the novel and he is clearly very talented at this point for anyone with a brain to comprehend. Author, why are you so stupid? Or do you think the people who read your novel are stupid?I don’t know if I can continue this. I keep giving this novel chances but it keeps disappointing me and I’m honestly starting to get stressed out reading this shit and losing my patience.
