When Eliot Duke, a self-made success, encountered Raquel Roswell, he believed he had found his dream woman. However, life seemed to have a wicked plan in store. Unbeknownst to him, Raquel was already married, and their passionate, secret connection in Bali became an illicit affair for the world's richest man. Their time together in Bali was truly magical, transcending mere physical attraction. Eliot cherished the idea that Raquel was meant for him. But tragically, she vanished without a trace, leaving him longing to turn their fleeting romance into something permanent. When fate brought them together once more, Raquel was torn, for she too felt the same deep connection to the man from the beach. Caught in a scandalous web, their affair threatened not only their reputations but also tested the foundations of marriage and ethics. Will Eliot's unwavering love for Raquel conquer her past transgression, or will he be swayed by his own values and ambitions?

So it does more-or-less end up with that sort of OP protagonist stuff that is antithetical to cosmic horror then. Glad I didn't pick this up. I just wish there were more authors who could write cosmic horror correctly.0 0 Reply
