Dark Crow Rising

In the depths of Tobaballe, Nin Urtuan works tirelessly to elevate his status. Surrounded by fierce competition, it seems only luck can offer a better life. One day, in what appears to be an unfortunate encounter, he meets the voluptuous and enigmatic Spire-Lord, Iishar Ho. She takes Nin with her and reveals a secret within the Crown—a shortcut to success that proves irresistibly tempting. Setting out for the shores of the Molten Sea, at the base of the holy Anvil-Peak Mountain, Nin is captivated by the awe-inspiring scenery. Unbeknownst to him, a deal unfolds behind his back, benefiting not him but those high up in the Crown. A slaver from an unknown, spine-quilled race ambushes him, rendering Nin unconscious.
