Wait I've thought of cool new power for the mc so they will take a break IN A BATTLEFIELDDesperately flying back to save sweetheart from being forced into marriage?  WAIT I've thought of scene where he finds an old letter so they new to detour to his old home and spend the day sight seeing.Don't worry, because this is shittyy Chinese writing the mc will come just in the nick of time after half her family is slaughtered a d she's half dead and she's just declared that's there's no hope to survive and then tragically sheds a single tear as she thinks about her love for the mc.

Though, the alternate story isn't that bad either.
