It is said to be magical. Mystical, even. A book containing such extreme power that simply obtaining it could grant you all the wealth and land you've ever desired. The problem is using it. It's a problem the protagonist, Wulfram Azalea, intends to solve even if it kills him. Or at least the people around him.
Dwelling in the heart of the Glorious Empire, Wulfram is one of the fabled Seven Sorcerers. Black Mages of immense dark power and almost no real desire to play by the rules other mages live by. Who care not for the suffering they put their bodies through, all in the name of obtaining unlimited power.
As Wulfram struggles to obtain the secrets of the Blue Seed, the realm begins to reshape in many ways. Wulfram will find few allies both inside and outside of the Glorious Empire's walls, and will find himself confronting his past, present and future. To appease the Blue Seed, it seems, one must understand life, as it's wielder once did.
