He was passionately kissing her when she regained her composure and retrieved a dagger. As he distractedly removed her skirt, she swiftly stabbed him in the back. Stunned, their eyes met, and he groaned in pain, forcefully pushing her away despite his injury. She landed hard, clutching the dagger tightly. "You deceitful woman," he snarled, seeing the dagger aimed at him, its tip down, blade glinting. Despite the burning sensation in his back, he chuckled. "I knew you weren't just a meek girl, Bella." He observed her blank gaze, as if devoid of emotion. The word "kill" echoed in his mind, and without hesitation, she lunged again. He caught her wrist, the blade inches from his face. Enraged, he pinned her to the floor, fracturing her wrist in a fit of anger. She gritted her teeth, dropping the dagger, which he promptly threw aside. With his other hand, he grabbed her right ear and pulled out an earring, crushing it into pieces. "Bella!" he roared, his voice filled with betrayal. "Traitorous little one!" She whimpered, trying to free herself, but his knees held her down. "Shh!" he whispered, pressing his forehead to hers, his gaze intense. "Bella, my mate... don't struggle." Her movements ceased, and he gently released her. Lifting her, he carried her to the bed, examining and fixing her broken wrist with care. Wrapping it in a cloth for support, he then called Paxton, but quickly discarded the phone. Positioning himself above her, he said softly, "Mate..."
