"You slept here?" George inquired, his voice tinged with surprise and concern. "Yes, I... uh," Irene hesitated, nervously licking her lips as she tried to come up with a plausible explanation. "I was feeling quite warm while reading, so I thought I'd take a shower. I guess I must have dozed off. Did you just find me? Are you ready for work?"
