Tucker wishes he had a different life.
His stepfather harasses him all the time and never gives him a moment's peace. Tucker's only respite is playing video games. His dream is to get the latest RPG and become a mage so that he can bend his enemies to his will. If only things worked like that in real life. There's just one problem with Tucker's gaming plans: He can't afford a copy of the game.
When a man in black hands him a strange game cartridge, Tucker thinks it's just an elaborate prank to make his life more miserable. But, the mysterious video game turns out to be much more than a prank. It's a portal to an alternate world where the game is real.
This would be a dream come true...if Tucker hadn't been transported into the body of a lowly orc and still expected to make a difference. With this game-world out for blood, and no apparent way home, Tucker has to fight to become the mage he's always wanted to be, even if the world is against him every step of the way. Mastering his abilities might be the only way that he can get home and truly turn his life around.
