This manga is filled with BL tropes and I love it. You follow an unnamed protagonist trying to avoid being a main character in a BL manga. If you like BL you'll be able to recognize the tropes it uses and be able to laugh a long with it. Even if you don't like BL you can still give this a read because some of the tropes appear in josei and shoujo manga as well.
Absolutely hilarious, reminds me of “Saiki” where the protagonist is always narrating his troubles dealing with the world around him. Stupid but funny stuff like always having an umbrella since a couple could trigger rain at any moment!? Lol
...I can't unsee all the cliches!!! Arrrghhhh HELP!
dialogue, commentary, art, everything is top notch
I hope it never ends (or he finally gets a girlfriend later to escape).
His quick reaction is so damn good. Wow.
This...is... a masterpiece??
I cannot describe the magnificence of this manga. This is still incomplete and ongoing, so we are still at the beginning. Each chapter is a quick look into the life of the protagonist who soon realized that he lives in a BL manga.
Each chapter, we see some classic trope of BL manga, with our annoyed and disillusioned protagonist commenting on the absurdity of some of them. These tropes go from the “important big sister”, the irrelevance of many female characters, how all male characters seem beautiful and unique, the aloof one, the worried one, the guy who passed out on the street etc.
We also follow his efforts to try to stay a mob character, a character in the group who does not end up paired with another guy, and this revolves around him being careful of what kind of tropes he should avoid! (For example, he finds a guy passed out on the street? No reason to take him home: call the police!)
The manga is absolutely hilarious. There is no romance between the protagonist and anyone (yet) and this is pure brilliant parody. The protagonist is absolutely charming and relatable, and the parody is not cheap at all!
Usual BL manga warnings as in secondary characters enact different BL situations, so expect to see them all!
It had me laugh so hard... If you have watched bl then these trolls are gonna kill you
