The art and the premise at the beginning threw me off a bit, but within 5 chapters I was intrigued, and within 10 chapters I was hooked.

The characters, the character development, THE PLOT with its never ending schemes and power struggles, the pace which never slows down, the art which gets better and better, the worldbuilding... Everything, and I mean it, everything is on point.
    Just wow.

Don’t read this for the romance, it’s not about it at all. Read it for the female leads, their friendship, their resilience, their strength, their story. Sooo good (´ ༎ຶོ ω༎ຶོ`)

Take it from a veteran shoujo reader, this is G O L D.

This blew me away on so many levels. The art is absolutely and consistently gorgeous - the characters pop and the backgrounds are very detailed. There's something about the way the artist draws eyes that is just mesmerizing in many panels, and for a story with a body swap plot it's extremely fitting to have the look in the eyes be a window into whose soul is inhabiting the body.

That said, the story of this has not gone the direction I thought it was going, and in a good way. The pacing is excellent, and the twists and turns along the way are enjoyable and keep you guessing. I love the FL - all of the main characters in this are very well fleshed out, and the FL is a remarkably complex character who is simultaneously a noble protagonist and evil villainess at the same time, which is a hard circle to square but one the author manages quite adeptly.

I also give this series kudos for how it handles trauma as something that characters don't just get over whenever they like and which can't simply be pushed down by sheer force of will. I feel that it's portrayed here in a pretty accurate way that doesn't take the topic lightly but doesn't use it as a plot hammer when convenient and toss it by the wayside the rest of the time.

...but what I got was one of the most intricate and compelling story I've read so far. There are so many things I'd like to say, but I decided to focus on the MCs of this series.

It's not very often that I root for both the female lead (the villainess) and the second female lead (the saintess) in the series of this subgenre. This one, though, is different. Medeia and Psyche -- both of of them have their own strengths and weaknesses; their motives and circumstances. Their motives and circumstances intertwine, and the result is a solid chemistry between these two characters.

Medeia, the female lead, is what you would expect of a vengeful 'villainess' character. She's pragmatic, stoic, witty, and charismatic. And she's pretty hot, too. She does several questionable things to her rival, Psyche -- sometimes to an extreme degree -- but she has many reasons to justify her actions. Overall a strong, independent female character that is very well portrayed.

Then, comes in Psyche, the second female lead. A meek, naive, gullible woman, she is the template 'saintess' character. Some readers may come to loathe this kind of character; I'm one of them. But, overtime, we get to witness how she grows as a person, with several "yoooo" moments on the way. In my opinion, this is one aspect of her that makes her stand out from other 'saintess' characters. She's not merely a damsel in distress, not a figurant, and not a second female lead who is "just there", observing and admiring the first female lead in action. She's actually a character that is very involved in the story. You really can't help but root for her.

The other characters are also pretty solid as well, but I can't really write them in detail.

So, yeah... If you're a villainess subgenre enjoyer like me, you'll be blown away reading this.

My recommendation: You can easily jump from chapter 16 to chapter 28 without almost no issue or misunderstanding
I'm gonna be completely honest with you.
This is a good read, but only if you really have the time to spare. Just to make it clear, the general plot of this comic is amazing and all characters development are incredible well handled. BUT, the story telling (the sense of progress) is just so exasperate, slow, and even boring sometimes... I just couldn't handle it.

I think Medea (first FL) is the draw for most readers but I am entirely enamoured with how sympathetically Psyche (second FL, the "thief" of Medea's throne) gets portrayed, especially as the story develops. This is a great take on the bodyswap trope; I was expecting it to be really cheap, with Psyche screwing things up in Medea's body and making herself very unlikeable. Glad to say this was not the case! The storytelling is strong, and Psyche's position as Medea's foil is earned. There's a wonderful, realistic growth for Psyche

as a woman who loves her abuser, and fights hard against the trained, ingrained behaviour to trust him even when she knows he is wrong. She is easily my favourite character, and I am so pleased that Medea is as obsessed with her as Psyche is obsessed with Medea. They have deep interior lives, and a lot of complexity. It's good.

Brilliant female leads (so rare!), great pacing, and a tightly written plot!

I’m impressed by how well the author writes the two female leads; they complement each other well and are well fleshed out each with their own motivations, quirks, and different facets.

There’s genuine tension and emotional intensity here, which I appreciate. Often, thrillers don’t make the stakes seem palpable but this Korean webtoon is so immersive, I feel really connected to the characters emotions and so incredibly nervous whenever there’s tension/danger!
Oh, and the art is very pretty

    Highly recommend!

The two female leads are great! They both have their strengths and weaknesses. If you get past the first like 3 episodes you'll understand how good it is. Reading this made me sweat a little bit which is a great telltale sign that it's a memorable good one. The pacing is really good. I usually don't really like those body-swap stuff cause it's just kinda cliche and the characters just spend most of their time goofing off or confused but this time it's being wielded like a tool to drive the plot of mystery.

I didn't expect much from the story because the first 3 chapters were so freaking confusing. But boy next thing i knew I was on the latest chapter scrambling to find more to read. So so so addictive.

So many twists. Who knew a princess story could be filled with so much vengeance and action? I'm still only on chapter 18 but it's incredible so far. This manwha fully overcame my prejudices towards the shoujo genre, and it deserves a wide readership. I love the main character's strength and wickedness. She is evil sometimes, but often for justifiable reasons. I'm here for it. I love her defiance against fate and just her fiery personality.

This is definitely not your fluffy/wholesome romance. This is more like Korean Game of Thrones.

Update: Now on chapter 24, and this manga remains 10/10 amazing. Honestly the author has done such a fantastic job. I've never been this pleased with a comic series. This is incredible.
