At the start of the academic year, Saotome Hodaka joins Moteshiro Prefectural High School. This school was once exclusively for girls but has recently become coeducational. However, he soon realizes the male-to-female ratio is an astounding 1:359!
While this scenario might seem like paradise to some, most students are delinquents. Saotome quickly becomes a target for extortion by some of the more aggressive girls. Yet, he is unexpectedly rescued by Hanako Kuzuryu, a striking Yankee who prefers solitude.
