So this is one of the best western style manhwa imo, after reading... an unconscionable amount of them. No isekai, no regression, just story. (I'll admit part of my love is due to the premise being original enough that I'm able to actually remember/differentiate it from the dozens of others. What a feat!)
While this has your cliche 'evil uncle attempting to usurp throne/murdering family', I love the storytelling angle of her brother having built up these relationships with people who cared so much for him that they extend their care to his sister. It's incredibly sweet, and it balances out the darkness very nicely. What really makes this entertaining is the fleshed out cast of side characters who don't just feel like NPCs but are actually integral to the story. That's what bumps it up from a 7~8 story to a 10, for me.
With the timeskip happening after about 40ch you don't have too much time with her at 14, and I appreciate that even with them being married they don't pull weird 'they're falling in looove' stuff. And once the age diff is just between 18 and 22, we're good to go as far as I'm concerned, so don't let that put you off giving this a chance.
This is almost unreadable.
You did well, Sasakura Ayato. I wont forget your name for as long as I live.
