Okay so I'm only 21 chapters in but didn't Edward just break his word? The whole point of his dual with will was that he wouldn't be allowed to expel him if he lost. Also technically nobody failed his final test since it was a purely subjective question, he literally designed the final exam so that he could pick and choose who passed and who failed. I'm sure it won't matter in the long run but what dick move to 40% of his students.

There is also an animated OVA called Eizo Hakusho that fills in some epilogue scenes.
