Day Dreamer was on point with their review even though they only read one chapter lol.
I wasn't expecting more than smutty smut smut when I read the summary, but this story challenges your perception of the porn industry and allows you to understand how easy it is to fall into and keep continuing to do porn. But don’t worry if you’re here for the smut cuz you’re in for a treat. The bodies of the guys are manly af, and the main characters have abs for days. Recommended for the abs alone.
The author also did a pretty good job of portraying the different types of people who do porn and their reasons for doing it. The most recent chapter and one of the side characters really hit me in the feels when he said
I was surprised by the sudden confession, and there are some unsavory characters starting to bare their fangs. But other than that, the romance between the main character and main lead grew rather naturally and somewhat innocently actually as they bonded over their love of movies (albeit smuttily lmao). And ah, that’s what the story feels like. It feels like I’m watching a movie and each chapter feels like a scene in that movie.
Overall, this managed to move me and keep me engaged. That’s a win in my books.
I’ve read quite a few yaoi mangas and I’m not usually intrigued by smutty yaoi, but for some reason I picked this one up. Currently only the first chapter is translated — but nothing much actually happens in it.
I think where this manga might get interesting is how the future story pans out. If there’s somewhat of a slow burn romance with a dash of sexual tension as the raws seem to suggest, I think this could be a story with more depth than the synopsis implies.
I really hope that’s where the story is going. I really hope we get character development and romantic tension because then my excitement for the potential of this manga wouldn’t have been in vain. (And I won’t have to come here to edit this comment.)
