"Hye-seong," a boy from a remote island, befriends "Yoon-hae," a mermaid he meets in the sea. They become each other's only companions. However, their friendship is abruptly cut short when Hye-seong moves away. Six years later, Yoon-hae returns to the island with mysterious new abilities, but much has changed, making it difficult for Hye-seong to spend as much time with her as he did in his youth.
