Reviewed @ complete (season 1, season 2 never came)
So this is a great series.
It kind of reminds of the vibe of stuff like 1/2 Prince. It's got its dose of action/adventure, but mostly it's really light-hearted and funny. It also has a cute and funny romance subplot. And it's got an interesting enough plot to tie it together and keep it going
The female lead is VERY funny in her actions, thought processes and reactions. The male lead is [i[perfect[/i] compliment to her, such that many of her funniest scenes are when they're together.
Really I'm trying to think of anything to criticise... I guess the antagonists aren't 'serious' and so don't usually feel like a threat, but this also isn't the kind of series where they're supposed to be. The series opens with the Demon Lord being pitiful in a very schadenfreude way, after all.
Yeah...huh. Was gonna give this a 9.5, but really if I can't think of anything wrong and it gave me as many laughs and smiles as it did, doesn't it deserve a 10?
Fortunately all of the webnovel have been translated as of February 2024, so we can finish the story through there!
Finally I stumble upon a quality, good isekao manhwa! Finally! Yep, you got everything you need here: a solid plot with great twists, dynamic art and very intrguing characters. While everything I mentioned is fine, the char make this a winner IMHO. Sir Roel/Sila is a hoot, and Captain Jullius is a wonderful char! I have rarely seen a manhwa with a kickass character who actually, due to hisunhappy childhood, is totally lost in normal, everyday human interaction, and when he tries to fit it, he has a refreshign childlike naivete, plus a totally unspoiled, extremely kind way of doing things... he's just a bit clueless when it comes to more or less anything. And Outzen is a hilarious freak of nature, you will always double guess anything he does, and his main motives remain hidden from start to finish... The story, with the complex realtions betwen the Holy Churhc, the Royal house and the Demon World is full of potential and it the series had season 2, would have been delved into more deeply and developed into potentially a major and fascinating storyline.
The only obvious downfall of the manhwa is the awkward pacing. It starts very fast and very good, then drags in the middle, so much that I almost gave it up, and then picks up the pace again near the end, andthen BAM! The season ends, and no more season 2! THis really made me a bit sad, as this was soooo promising! While bland fare (IMHO) like Raeliana get season 4 and their own anime, this small gem didn't even get finished! like WHY😕
And, in the end, I have to mention the humor. The yummy, delicious, delectable humor! So many manhwa are not that funny, but this one pokes it in all the right ways. Roel/Sila are so perfect - so unintentionally funny and pointed and petty at times, loved it! But always with a good heart and clean motived, even when he wants to quit the church and live his life as an idle nobleman (you can do better Roel, really!!).
Overall, a warm recommendation!
FL is so BAMF and ML is also BAMF. I didn't get nearly enough of the two of them together! T^T The going was just getting really good and interesting...and it got cancelled.
I still go back often to reread the whole thing though. It's just that good.

This is by far the most refreshing story I've ever read, after reading a lot of actions adventures with a lot mystery and some seriousness this is really refreshing.
The most refreshing part is the MC's carefree personality, usually the MC will try to look more like a lady so no one will suspect. But this is really refreshing!!!
Hmmm, I thought the story was meh mediocre but when the whole mystery starts to be revealed I was so surprised by the sudden plot twist. Honestly, the story is really good.
So sad that there is no progress with season 2 yet since last year I suppose. But thank you author for the refreshing story and please continue and I'll really appreciate it if you'd continue
