    Correction: first comment was right! Technically the steam part of what we see is not visible. What we do see is condensation of the concentrated water vapor back into liquid in mid air in a foggy condition similar to a cloud. The steam itself is invisible. Good thing I checked after the comment so I could correct myself xD, although I really should have done so prior to the OG comment.
