    Imagine the readers got to see her for more than 5 pages and we actually cared about her or saw some subtle foreshadowing for this betrayal. Imagine the MC spent some time in the dungeon fermenting over that betrayal, going through flashbacks of their memories together, but as he becomes stronger, less human and even angrier, they get distorted. That betrayal ends up seeping into his past memories and making her into this vile creature that both the MC and the readers can despise, but the readers divide into those who hate her and those with reservations. Imagine Kibo ended up making a family with her and the MC shows up, having had this hate just smother him for years.
