Do you like eating paint chips off the wall ? Does the ti-pod challenge sound amazing to you ? Can you not figure out why the square doesn't fit into the circle hole ? Then buddy you just struck pure gold with this 1. Strap your velcro shoes up. For a mc who will believe anything and everything someone tells him, With a emotional mindset of a 5 year old, and a person who makes down syndrome look like a gift from the gods. Then this is hands down the comic for you!
The starting arc is good with all the martial arts and fights but as the story keeps going it's becoming more of a harem thing than a martial arts story. Too much of drama with the girls and I honestly hate these type of harem stories especially in martial arts one, like leave it in the fighting genre, why add all the unwanted romance and everything like the brotherhood thing is barely there. The fact that I liked it's initial chapters but as the story went on, it became too irritating with every few chapters being of a different girl one after another. And they didn't even mentioned a harem tag anywhere in other sites also.
I can't anymore with this story. So so so so gross. Maybe it's because I'm a woman that Frozen Flower Wedding arc is breathtakingly offensive AF to me.
Still, I appreciate the translator's, editor's and veryone's hard work on this series. It's obviously a labor of love to have come this far. Thank you so much for all your time and effort on this if you read this review!
This one have a nice start and the quality keeps to some time, sadly really changes later and you really start to thinking things about "how become like that"? or "why the change of pace if before was good?"
Forget about this one, even I can't read this anymore, this can't even get a good ending after all changes.
After the very good first arc the pace increases until everything feels weird. Like you are reading the spark notes of a stroy. More and more of the story involves bizzare coincedences and weird decisions, especially in the last arc.
Some annoyances and major spoilers :
In the second major arc, it is weird the grandfather left them to basically die instead of just killing two people that are quite clearly evil, which would have taken maybe 5 minutes. He could at least hide for a month to see what happens when he "left", it would have been enough. He messed in just this way before and shows zero growth. The fact Woo-Moon did somehow win in the end is only due to plot armor. It was very unlikely and hence insane action on the part of the Grandfather. The fact the mother was completely useless in the story is a bit sad.
The last arc is even more contrived. First of all, the younger disciple is pulled in completely by chance. Then this is discovered weeks after as she leaves just a day before Woo-Moon returns. Then even though she zombie walks for several days he somehow doesn't catch up only to arrive at just the right time to the right place, which also happens to the grandfather (let's say at least he was looking for Mucheon whatever guys) and the spear guy who appeared completely at random.
Then they fight, and Woo-Moon randomly goes a very convenient coma which makes him separate from Mara and become five times more powerful. That is just bad writing.
And these kind of random encounters continue to be the backbone of the story. They don't just happen, this is all that happens. When Woo-Moon was just about to start his complicated plan for fighting the Sand guys, he enconuters an insanely powerful person who is already hell bent on destroying those same people and both of them would have likely been enough, but instead of telling him his planm, he lets him leave without attempting anything when the other has a PTSD episode and stumbles away due to the mention of the word "comrade" O_o.
I really liked it at the start but at around chapter 70, I found a lot of the decisions the MC and the other people on his side (don’t want to spoil) don’t make a lot of sense. Maybe I’m just an idiot who wants the MC to kill every enemy he encounters but so many problems could have been avoided by just simply killing 2 or 3 people right after they tried to kill him themselves. 🤷♂️
Has a really interesting start but loses its uniqueness from around chapter 30 onwards. There isn't really any storytelling, any event is just another way for the MC to win and get stronger in the most predictable way. I tried to give it a solid chance, but I eventually got bored around ch 85.
about the art, there is a problem with the characters' expressions and using shadows. The characters look like villains or gloomy many times unnecessarily. about the story, I have read many similar ones. CN novels are full of this kind stories where the plot development is random, poorly executed and depend on luck elements too much. The dialogues are full of too much nonsense, I always skip them
