    I used to be ambivalent towards the ending of I am a Hero, but I think it was quite solid after rereading it. I do consider it a masterpiece of character work. Hanazawa sensei stayed true to his characters, which made the MC's ending bittersweet for sure. The other mangaka character's ending was the one carrying hope forward for humanity. I like that his story structure is able to follow many characters to their own unique endings and shows the subtle and strange ways people's fates can intertwine.
