He's not playing by Earth's rules just because his power's limited, he's doing it cuz if he fought the foreign constellations directly Earth would almost certainly be destroyed in the process even if he won. And as far as people talking down to him goes he's never been particularly prideful from the start and generally just doesn't show much reaction to anything at all that doesn't involve training.

Though with all that said I agree that watching him run around doing normal newbie Hunter sh*t for multiple chapters in a row is boring as hell so I guess we'll see where this goes.
