it’s a pretty middle of the road abused FL fights for her life type of story. i like that the missing sister is a good person and that the romance is straight forward. the art isn’t bad and the plot is decent enough: it’s well-executed and generic and i like it.

the story is quite similar to Revenge on the Real One but there's something about this story just makes me feel eh (19 chapters in)

like it is kinda obvious that the ml is into her. but annoyingly enough, the fl is oblivious to this so when the shi**y family wants her to break the engagement shes like oH noOo yall cant take him away from me and just proceed to mope. i also dont get why she doesnt want to take up the offer of staying with

the ml's familywhen she KNOWS shes being abused? out of responsibility? like girl...no way you are being serious

lastly, the older sister that returned really seemed like a sweet soul. i just could not continue reading when see how much the fl just antagonize her

UPDATE: I'm dropping it for the second and final time. I'm at ch.19 and it was a slog to get there. I can't do this anymore. I'm so done with this manhwa.

UPDATE: August 22nd 2023 - trying to reread this and I'm desperately fighting to reach chapter 10, at least. According to the spoilers this is supposed to be a good story. Except I can't get over FL. Shes still irritating me on the exact same point I mentioned in first review. This poor ML, damn.

No, you goddamn drama llama, you've even bemoaned in your little woe-is-me inner monologues that they never saw you as part of their family. EVER. Just fucking leave with the man who fucking adores you already!!

OLD REVIEW: Hm...I'm not sure why FL didn't just leave her household when a perfectly healthy and happy Ducal household asked her *several *times over years to just move over and forget her family. The FL's stubbornness makes zero sense. She could have saved herself literal years of heartache and neglect.

She's not intelligent. She recognized she was being abused but refuses to do anything about it. Worst, all she hears is snippets of her innocent sister and fiance's discussion which she misinterprets, making her jealous and sad. She does not even try to ask if what she heard was correct. Nope. She just goes off to mope.

Emotionally and physically abused FL deals with sister (who love FL) and possibility of losing ML (who loves FL) while struggling to understand her predicament and misunderstands the intentions of sister and ML .

This story, so far, has decent pot. Can't wait for more
