Action sequences are all tell and no show. It's hard to describe but if you've read a lot of manhwa/hua then you'll start to understand what a good flow sequence is. This has none.
The art got worse. It wasn't the best in the first place so this was even more tragic.
The story itself is strangely disjointed. He'll get abilities/weapons and use them but we have no idea where he got these things. Then in the next panel we'll get a literal 2 panel flashback that says he defeated or found something in the Tower so that's why he's immune or protected or has a new ability. It's the art equivelant of creative writing's biggest no-no: telling us and not showing.
This is just a really bad manhwa. Dropped at 82.
After long hiatus the art change, worse, less details
May 11, 2024: It's still good, and as another viewer said, the art has lost a lot of detail it used to have and the MCs character design has changed. I am sad that it changed and I guess they don't have the same funds since the art has changed but I hope the story stays steady and continues with the level it had before.
October 17, 2023: Idk why the other reviews were so bad, it irked me and I decided to post my own. It's a nice read and is pretty straightforward in the plot. I do like the world building and the MC, as well as how it's built up that he was super powerful and yet when he got the chance to redo everything he tried his best to improve rather than level up the same way he had before. I'm really happy to see our MC growth. Haven't seen any romance yet so if that's what you're looking for it hasn't shown up as of ch.70. Action, plot, progression, and a guy getting some friends along the way.
This hits all the check-marks for a regressor series: abilities, dungeons, outbreaks, a tower with rankings, an overpowered MC, and a stupid pet because why not. The issue is that it does none of them well. Nothing stands out to distinguish this series from its peers, and because of that I doubt it'll be remembered beyond a week
If generic manhwas are your things then by all means give it a try. For the rest, I guess it's only worth a try if you are done with other more interesting titles, this is one of those stories that take no chances and does nothing outside of what's mainstream, the good is that there is nothing particularly bad about it, but on the other side, there is nothing particularly interesting either.
Sigh.
And the mc hasn't been able to tell "no" to those kids even once.
This manga is cute, but I'll forget about it as soon as I close the tab.
