    probably when they are in the middle of a dire situation that requires some miracle last second cure to pop up out of nowhere and fix everything or it becomes some kind of power boost for the monk where he doesn't become a true mindless zombie but has zombie like powers. they have a guy who becomes psycho when he touches a blade so its not impossible to happen either way

    By far the most impressively realistic characterization I've ever seen in one of these, especially for the FL. It's the difference between a character who happens to fit an archetype vs a character who was written to be an archetype. Yes, she's written to have interesting gaps in her knowledge and zero chill, but you're easily able to see how her life leading up to the story caused her to be that way.

    It's nice to see a normal, albeit sheltered and royal, person amid the sea of TSTL and crazy emotional train wrecks that so many FLs in this kind of story are.
