    In this story, I can agree that the "pointy" hats' overbearing way of doing things is suffocating, and they aren't perfect in their rhetoric, but not rhetoric is perfect and they have something that gives them legitimacy... oversight.

    There are many people that sincerely are trying to keep things under a controlled system, and we only have little snippets of how things were before the age of conspiracy but I can see how bad things must have gotten... even if I can see too that story may have had certain... editions.

    But the Brimhats... they don't give a FUCK. They may talk about freedom but they are completely willing to do anything for that their "freedom", and no one is above being a sacrifice for them, no method or person above being explored, be they adults and children. Manipulation and violence are first and second language for those guys, and even with my distaste for overbearing authority this is still preferable to this manipulative "freedom".
